Heart Disease

Heart disease is the leading cause of death among both men and women in the United States, with an estimated 610,000 people dying every year because of heart-related complications. Heart disease is an umbrella term that includes numerous problems, including a buildup of plaque in the arteries, blood clots, and improper blood flow. Perhaps the most common type of cardiovascular disease is a heart attack, which occurs when the blood flow to a part of the heart is blocked by a blood clot. When this clot blocks the blood flow completely, the heart muscle that has been supplied by that artery stops working. Other common forms of heart disease include stroke, which occurs when a blood vessel that goes to the brain is blocked, usually by a blood clot. Heart failure, arrhythmia, and heart valve problems are other conditions of the heart that can be treated by Dr. Hujefa Vora and his entire Bharmal Internal Medicine team.

As the leading medical practice in DFW, Bharmal Internal Medicine treats patients of all ages and health conditions.
